What is your opinion?

I don't know about your ears, But Nightfall's music is above the rest of the chapters as far as I'm concerned.
The music was of a different nature yes, but it had much depth and had a nice arabian/african flavor to it. But most of all, it fit the atmosphere and wasn't distracting like some other Guild Wars music.
I guess some people don't like it because its not all contemporary classic like the typical fantasy game?

I agree.
I still play my own music half the time though ^^
Its refreshing though to enter pre once in a blue moon and not listen to any of my own music, and remember what it was like when i first started. Ahhhh...*sniff* memories

Agreed. I've been impressed with all the music so far. It's nice to walk into a new chapter and be hit with completely different surroundings and great music to match.
It turns out I was a fan before I even knew his name, Total Annihilation being one of the first PC games I ever played. I can't have been twelve years old back then.
Supreme Commander can't come fast enough.

Yea who is jeremy soule? I keep Humming the music he make on Factions. Propeicies in Cystral desert is good music too, And Nightfall has the best music because when you fight, music with drums starts. But seriusly, the music from factions(Kaining center to Matuu keep) is stuck on my mind!!

JS is a very talented man indeed, but I just copied all the tracks to a CD and listen to them as I fall asleep (vabbi aids in insomnia).
But I prefer to set up soundtracks in iTunes. I have an UW farm playlist (filled with hardcore death metal hot off the grill from sweden), an FoW playlist (disturbed+rammstein is prominent in this one), a mission playlist (Dragonforce and Viking metal is all I have on this one), and a "standing around doing nothing of value" playlist (Pink Floyd :P).
